  • Conferences are busy – so don’t expect to have a lot of time to site-see or do activities outside the conference.
  • Families are welcome, and spouses are welcome at the socials and dinners (with guest payment), but again, there won’t be a lot of extra time for hanging out with the families.
  • Conferences are business casual; folks don’t dress formally, so plan to be comfortable (but presentable).
  • Conferences include an OAGITM Business Meeting, which all members are encouraged to attend. This is an opportunity to provide feedback on the conference and organization, vote on items of import to the membership, and give input on locations, topics, and vendors you’d like to see at future conferences.
  • Conferences generally include a round table session where each member organization is given a few minutes to talk about the technology projects they have recently done, are currently working on, or have planned for the near future and learn about what everyone else is doing. Come prepared to speak very briefly about what’s happening in your organization.
  • Don’t forget to bring your business cards and come prepared to network!
